Default note length in step sequencer Push 2

Hey people! First post here.
So, is there a way to set a default note length (gate length for hardware) when sequencing on the Push 2? I know I can change note length per note by holding the pad, but it would be a welcome feature to set a default length beforehand.
Also the quantization settings don't help, since they only offer note start quantization, not note length (AFAIK). Here too it would be nice to have the option to quantize note length.
I did a forum search, but it came back with only one unanswered topic asking the same thing already back in 2011. The reason I really could use this feature is because I use the Push 2 to sequence my hardware synths and some of those do not retrigger notes when said notes are 'glued' to eachother. Which is a pain in the...
