Hi,
I have been trying to figure out how AT does his bass in this track...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvttDWdl0OQ
The bass is just killer...
Any pointers will be appreciated.
Thanks !

Rhythmically, the "bass" notes are not on the beat, but are late or after the beat or have a considerably long attack.

Heavy squares and saws synth with lot of comb filtering, quite long portamento time, huge sidechain compression from the kick... And an insane amount of Amon Tobin mojo.

Sounds to me a like a lot of stacked detuned oscillators, a 1 oct pitch envelope on the note start, a triggered downward sawtooth LFO on the volume which has it's speed and waveshape changed later on to a slower sine. Then obviously there's a massive sidechain from the kick with a slow release to give that fade-in effect. but that's emphasised by a slow attack on the sound itself
here, try this:

you'll have to "save as" on the link, because for some reason my server has forgotten the MIME type of .adg files
(its a rack with two Operators in it)
