Why does my Grand Piano that I just downloaded, play itself? Very low volume, but very hearable.
Any ideas? How do I shut this of.

Im on my new push, chose new track, midi, add packs -> grand piano -> Samples -> normal

And then I can play all keys, but it plays itself
Would very much like to turn this off. Thanks

And what do you mean specifically with "it plays itself"? Is there a clip playing? If not:

Follow the signals. Make it an adventurous way to get to know Live. Look for effects, turn them off one by one, look for arpeggiators and incoming MIDI data from anything external.

I can play the samples - but in the background, it plays a small tune, sometimes. Its really weird. Do you have the grand piano pack installed? Can you confirm this? Thanks for your time

No - it wasnt the preview - it still does it. hmm.

Well, if you trigger a 1-shot sample and stop, the full sample will still play out. Simpler in this case doesn't appear to even receive any MIDI, which is the strange part, but if there was some trigger event this would be natural as this sample is quite long as you can see here in Sampler where I'm playing one MIDI note:



The red line is where playback was at the moment and with a new note-on event it will move to the start again, but if the note is held it will keep going and as you see trigger another note in this long sample.

Nothing of this explains your ghost notes as this sample isn't in 1-shot mode as far as I can see.

Is there a reason you want just this sample and not the completed .adg instruments?

Ah, you are right. It was a very long sample, so when I played some of it, it just kept on playing for 2 minutes (very quite in the background)..
