killing crashed EXE

When Live crashes quite often the EXE file remains in memory (windows-10/64). With Live 7 it was usually about 2 min to get the EXE rmoved from RAM. Now with Live 9 it takes about 5 min (which my super fast PC). In some cases I cannot even shut it down completely and need to reboot. This really sucks (when I have other things going on in another thread - i.e printing, downloading Skype session etc).
There is really something wrong with Live in tat matter. I have tons of other Apps on my computer and none of them have ever has such an issue. If I go to TASK MANAGER and kill it the longest time it had ever took was never more than 1 min. right now as I'm typing it after crash I still have Live9 in memory and it shows CPU=0%, RAM=0% but I cannot kill it. When I try to start Live from the menu of course it immediately shuts down due to the fact Windows sees it running.

BTW everyonce a while I get error: "Can't access database" - any solution for that ?

Does anybody know some trick or workaround to get the crap out of RAM ?

Just FYI, I have a windows machine also and don't have crashes out of what I would call normal program behaviour. Maybe you shouldn't be doing downloads/skype/other shit when using live and it could work better for you. If you don't taylor a DAW environment akin to real time audio then you are going to have issues.

If it's stuck after a crash it's probably a hardware driver that's stuck. Try unplug your audio interface or USB MIDI devices. When I do get a crash it's still stuck because of my audio interface. Simply unplug it and live exits. Could be something simple like that.

Thanks I did try your suggestion with unplugging although it did not help. It took 6 min for Live to clear from RAM. This really sucks.
