Can't use exported samples instantly

this is very frustrating to me that I have to put the files i've exported into Audacity or similar to re-save them as wav files so that my SPD-SX will see them at all. The "straight out of ableton" files don't even show up in the SPD. I realize this is also an SPD issue, but I might imagine that other samplers/etc might have the same issue? is there a way to save the wav's out of ableton without the "tags" that i'm assuming exist ??

so confusing. anyhow, gonna plug a cable in and record my samples directly into SPD for now...

What format are you exporting the files from Ableton in?
