I've spent a couple of hours with this and I'm very pleased. The Max device is a very good solution to randomizing/humanizing. I thought the instruments that came with it would just be fluff addons, but I'm pleased to be wrong about that.
One way to judge something is by how much time gets lost when you are exploring it. Both times I expected to play around for a few minutes and looked up an hour later.
This might be the best purchase I've made in a while.
Agree about the manual. There is a lot of information in the Live Help View, but a manual would be nice.

The way it takes in the playing clip works very smoothly. I used it on two channels of a track I'm working on, to mutate a bass pattern (I used its mapping function to modulate the attack of two osc FM over a sub and created note variations too- schweet!) and I used it on a drum track with the pitch evolve at zero and other values higher. Love it, very useful. I'd love a manual and move accessible probability parameters, but you did use the space very well for all the parameters it has. I'm only scratching the surface.
It's up there with Time Sting and Knobulator as my all time max favourites.
