Does Live 9 "Intro" allow use of external synths?

Hey guys,

I have Ableton Live 9 Intro, and it doesn't come with Lives External Instrument device.

Does this mean that I cannot connect and use my Korg Minilogue in Ableton?

Is there a way around using the external instrument device in Live Intro if this is the case?

Thanks for any help

I think you can just send the MIDI out and return the resulting audio into an audio track. Once recorded you can delete the MIDI track, after you have exported or otherwise saved the MIDI. You're limited to 8 tracks so use them wisely.
