Any idea how I can find the dates for each Live release?
The Ableton website does not seem to have this and the Wiki article only has the major versions and their mo/year. Anyone know a way or place I can look up the actual release date of every version?

The wiki has day, month and year, including 6 updates to Live 9, what more do you need?Stryker295 wrote:The Ableton website does not seem to have this and the Wiki article only has the major versions and their mo/year. As I said, the wiki only has the major versions. There are 33 version updates since I started using the software, and there isn't even that many on the wiki page.
I ended up finding and compiling a list of the info I needed, here's a snapshot in case it helps you understand.

You might have to contact Ableton direct to get the exact dates on all updates. That list will be long my friend

I suppose it would have been easier to understand had you said point release, but I get that it's not a regimented thing. Why do you need this?Stryker295 wrote:As I said, the wiki only has the major versions. Doing a data visualization project in excel and figured I'd pull up the versions since when I started using it (8.3) and plot some graphs of their releases and other relevant data. Had to find a source for that much data thoughMachinesworking wrote:Why do you need this?

One thing looking at this makes me realize is how long it's been since a major release. I'm sure it will happen, but only Logic has taken as long between releases.Stryker295 wrote:Doing a data visualization project in excel and figured I'd pull up the versions since when I started using it (8.3) and plot some graphs of their releases and other relevant data. Logic Pro X - July 16nth, 2013
Live 9 - March 5th, 2013
Compared to:
Cubase 9- December 7, 2016
Pro Tools 12- March 23, 2015
Digital Performer 9- June 2015
Sonar Platinum- January 13, 2015
To be fair the integration of Push into Live 9, and a slew of updates that add to everyone's workflow make it somewhat moot, but yeah we should see a new version at some point here.
