Is this possible to make in Live in the Session?

Not needed to be full orchestra, just reduced to the raw material (MIDI).

Yes it is, in fact it is possible in almost any DAW, but you need an orchestral library. Live Suite comes with one but it is limited in articulations and quite old by now.

IF you want realistic sounding orchestra you will need to get good libraries and dedicate time to edit articulations, dynamics, etc.

It's completely possible but takes a good few libraries of orchestral source material, a lot of tracks, a lot of time, a powerful PC (or several in professional instances) and a lot of knowledge.

I have some basic orchestral templates i'm always tweaking with based around Kontakt, East West and even Live Orchestral stuff. Great fun to compose and track orchestral instruments.

Oh for sure, like everyone is saying you will need a few good libraries though. This video may help you to understand what approach you should take to getting a more natural sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtKKknWtSCA

I completely understand it is possible to simulate it in almost in any DAW, or even better in a notation software.

My question was if that piece would be possible to compose in Live's Session Mode, as a composing/improvising process.

Or this, even more complex:

How would you "compose" this in Live? Would it be possible?

The MIDI Editor is identical in both Session and Arrangement views (since both views just hold Clips).

MIDI is a standard, works the same in all hardware and software, even before DAWs existed.

Note that Clips don't have to loop in Session View, and can be as long as you want to. You can create a 15 hour MIDI composition in a single MIDI Clip in Session View, if you want to.
