The industrial design is quite inspired on Push: black buttons with backlit text, the matte encoders and finish.

It now has control over Live mixer, track navigation, scene launching, mute, solo and some other stuff, could be very useful for some tasks.

Looked so good I thought it was fake initially.

I hope the ink on the pads is covered by a layer of pad or burned into the rubber, or it seems likely that it can rub off.

What would make this extra nice is if their support for Live is official, and not NI's cooked up scripts. Even though they are very well done.

Also.... I have the original Maschine, so I think if I were to pick anything up from them I'd still go with the Jam. Not that this hasn't awakened my lust :P

Final final note. It would be nice if it had a mode for standard midi without requiring NI software. For situations when a person is attempting to use it outside of the main OS's or uses it simply as a pad controller on a friend's computer etc

Ableton should allow the Push API to be used by other manufacturers so the KK keyboard could switch and control Live in a close way just like Push does.

This new version does step up the keyboard again and I'm keen to get one, just need to figure out what to do with the current one I have.

I bought Push 2 last winter, so it's not likely I'm going to buy this new keyboard, but man does it look good!!!!

It would be nice to have this beside the Push 2.....LOL.

Too bad the keyboard doesn't have the audio interface, otherwise I'd be all over it.

Really? I don't like Native Instruments sound cards and they will abandon it in a few years surely for some odd reason. Hopefully the controller part won't be needing a driver so that might work.

Useless video that doesn't tell you anything. Please post more revealing links if you find them. Any idea what keyboard bed this is?

Preordered the 61S. I've always wanted the screens and functionality of Maschine Studio in a keyboard and nice auto DAW mapping as well. Also like that it plays demo beats and melodies as you are browsing presets.

Prediction: It will happen again and again despite any snide remarks, because that's how NI makes business.

That's how most computer based companies do business. At some point they stop supporting an old OS or old hardware.
