Trigger next/random midi clip with ONE pad

Hey everyone!
I'm trying to set up something to perform with the MPD-218.
I think I ran into a problem nobody quite seems to have (similar ones have been discussed but not exactly what I am after).
This is what I have: A Midi track with a sampler on it and two different midi clips.
I have my MPD-218 connected and now I want to have ONE pad to always trigger the other of the two midi clips when I push it.
So first thing I want: when midi clip A is playing and I push pad C1, I want it to trigger midi clip B automatically. Then when I push pad C1 AGAIN, I want it to trigger midi clip A again.
BUT!: When I push pad C1 and so trigger midi clip A, the clip should loop endlessly UNTIL I push pad C1 again to trigger midi clip B. That's why follow actions don't work for this, cause you always have to set how many bars/hits the clip should play until the next clip is triggered.
I tried everything, using different midi mappings, using samplers zone view, random/scale devices, Follow actions, midi input from another midi track to use as trigger.... nothing quite works...
I really really want to have this option, I don't even think it should be that big of a deal, I just hope there is a simple solution I overlooked.
Does any one have an Idea? I'd be so thrilled!
Thanks a lot, A!
