Any serious producers using Analog and Operator?

While I like the built in effects in Live a lot, I never found Analog and Operator very inspiring. But maybe that is because I never gave them a real chance? Do you think it would be worth it to set aside some time for a month or two, just playing with these devices?

Skrillex is on record as liking Operator. Like him or not he's a big enough name to be counted as serious. Operator is in fact insanely powerful - only 4 oscillators but each one is a 64 partial additive synth in itself with lots of modulation possibilities.
Analog I can take or leave.

Operator definitely yes. Decent FM synth, does additive and subtractive. Right now it is Ableton’s showcase synth. Included sounds aren’t that great but it is highly programmable and is capable of a wide variety of sounds. FM is just a tricky beast to tame and get your head around though.
Analog is ok. Actually it is a decent subtractive synth but not many good included sounds and better VSTs out there with a much better GUI don’t make Analog as rewarding.

OK, so Operator is definitely worth checking out. Maybe Analog later.
Thanks for your replies!

I think the UI for Analog is not that inviting, Operator is very useful though for all kind of stuff

Not familiar with Recondite, but Machinedrum doesn't use only Operator

In my experience the majority of producers use or start with presets. There's a serious lack of third party libraries for Ableton instruments..

Sorry I should have said almost exclusively, Recondite is a major techno artist.

Culprate uses Operator for just about everything.
Analog is very "meh" compared to all the other virtual analog synth options out there, but Operator is quite versatile.

The factory presets for the Live synths suck and there's not enough of them. Most people really aren't ready to program from scratch...regardless of what they tell you. They just buy Komplete or Nexus and automate the cutoff control
I've heard some good third party patches for both Analog and Operator and gotten good vintage style sounds out of Analog. It just takes effort, eh?
PS outside of Reason, I don't think the factory synths in any DAW get much love.

Operator is the only soft synth i've ever used on my records.

The new Wavetable nevertheless is up there with other stuff on the market, great filters and overall great sound.

Analog is basically an older and un-updated version of this:

The nice thing about Analog in Live though is the integration.
Would be nice if they updated it a tad.
Edited 'nude' to 'nice' ...same difference
