Ok, Lite and intro - what are the differences?
I have Lite - if I will buy Intro will it be upgrade for me with lots of features? Can comeone clearly tell what are differences?

Consider both as limited.

Thanks it looks that there are not so much differences, and It's not good to purchase Intro while having Lite. But much better is to upgrade to Standard.

At the moment though we don't know exactly what a Live 10 Lite will contain exactly, if there ever will be such a thing. You can also get an Intro license second hand, which may be less than an upgrade.

This is what I see for Live 9, leaving out what's the same: Lite vs Intro
Audio Effects: 11 vs 21**
MIDI Effects: 7 vs 8 (MIDI Effect Racks)
Software Instruments: 3 vs 4 (Instrument Racks)***
Audio & MIDI tracks: 8 vs 16
Packs: 0 vs 2 , i e "Loopmasters Mixtape" and "Chop and Swing" (Live 10)

Clearly Intro is way more usable than Lite. I can imagine writing a track Intro and some plug-ins. Lite? I don't see how I'd enjoy that.
Standard does contain what I must regard as some aspects integral to the soul of Live. Stuff like Grooves , Audio to MIDI, EQ8 and so on.

*** Both Intro and I assume Lite contains racks with packaged Ableton instruments with limited access to controls compared to Standard. This really limits how much a user can do with these. Thank the developers for plug-ins.

So what are the upgrade prices you see? Currently I see for my Intro license a standard upgrade as 179€ excluding VAT (223 incl VAT) and 319.20€ excluding VAT (399€ incl VAT) for a Suite upgrade.

Paying for Intro when you already have Lite is silly. Intro is better featured but not by that much. Yes, 16 tracks vs. 8 tracks is pretty significant but hardly worth paying $100 IMHO. You can still get a lot done with only 8 tracks, esp. if you're willing to bounce or resample as folks did back in the days of tape.

The difference in upgrade discounts between the two is only $30 for Standard and $50 for Suite, so if your plan is to upgrade relatively soon, then buying Intro just wastes money that could be applied to an upgrade.

I see upgrade price from Lite to standard: 239 euro, and for standard license without lite - 279 euro. Yes, I planned to upgrade soon, so it makes no sense to buy Intro, but jump to Standard faster. Do You think that Flack Friday price will change a bit?

Next - Do You know how long will be "save 20% and upgrade to 10 for free" discount?

Not if that's all you need, You can get Intro second hand for maybe $50. I wouldn't get it, though that's me.

I assume this is with VAT? What percentage?

I don't think it will change, but it might happen. Many great things happen on Friday.

Q1 2018 starts in January.

Considering that the "save 20%" campaign ends at release, then this could happen already in January. While I think it's likely Ableton will pre-announce some time before, not everyone can present the upgrade fee if this happens in January, when you expected later. Therefore it's a bad strategy to pretend March is the delivery month when it's one day during Q1, even if March would appear to be more likely.
