Live 9 x64 OSX Strange Sound Preview

Hey guys, hope all is well.
I have a strange issue with Live 9 running on my mac mini. Although my first mistake is probably running Live 9 on a mac mini, I recently installed x64 version to utilize more ram (8gb currently installed), everything works fine except for that fact that it takes quite a while for my samples to preview when using file browser. On my 32bit version all the samples/loops etc. preview instantly when clicked on. I've tried adjusting buffer settings but that did not work, I;m previewing on a blank template to avoid cpu spikes and STILL previewing samples has quite a delay...
please help.
