Ableton Forum

I'm considering making a midi controller that can do basic functions in Ableton such as play/stop/record/metronome and maybe some commands such as save, new track, export, etc.. I've tried mapping these to my current midi controllers, but every time I map the controls and open a new project, the mappings are reset. Is there a way I can permanently map the controller to these specific buttons for every project every time I open Ableton?

Just read that link and have a go. It's simple, takes maybe an hour to learn for yourself and 5 mins to make a control script.
