Hey Community,
It´s me, Polyhedron. I´ve got a problem.
I´ve been owning a Ableton Push 2 and Ableton Live 9 Suite for quite a while now, and I´d like to produce EDM and Trap music.
I´ve been searching in the internet for decades on a tutorial on how to make a trap song without downloading samples - my reasons are quite simple:
I don´t want to "copy" the work of others and instead make my very own song. Using samples of other people doesn´t feel right.
At the same time, I don´t want to spend another 1000$ for Native Instrument´s Komplete 11 Ultimate, to get the VST´s I need to create my "own" electronic sound.
Does anybody know any free and very good VST´s for creating electronic sounds like you hear them in the internet (example: https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialVirtualRiot )

You have more than anything you need with your Suite content.

Ableton Suite has a plenty of quality samples bundled, especially for trap and generic prog electronic. With Push you can try diffrent patterns.

For EDM synths you will need some serious plugins, though. Operator alone won't get you there.

I didnt hear anything in that youtube clip that couldnt be achieved using analog, a drum rack, reverbs and loads of compression. You can get pretty wild sounds putting synths thru vocoder too.

I like the way he said EDM and Trap - as if Trap is something completely different.

I guess he also likes cars and automobiles, and eats food and steak. LOL!

If you have been searching for DECADES on how to easily make Trap music i'd suggest a different hobby. It has to be one of the easiest genres to get a handle on. You only need 4 samples and 15 minutes of experience.

Let's be nice guys, there's nothing to gain from making fun of the style of music someone likes or the fact they might not know how to make it yet.
