Hey there guys,
I notice that Ableton Live does not send a Sustain Pedal off message to MIDI channel when I stop playback. I'm using the Una Corda library which has lots of "sounds" that play while the sustain pedal is down. Each time I stop playback of my project, I can still hear those sounds and must specifically select the track and hit the sustain pedal to reset it.
This also occurs with Pianoteq. MIDI CC 123 actually does nothing there and the sustain pedal stays depressed when I hit Stop in Live.
This is a little annoying and I was wondering if there's a solution to it? Perhaps a preference or a device that can do this?
Edit: Using the MIDI Monitoring, I can see that it sends controller 123 (All Notes Off) when stopping, but it doesn't send Sustain Pedal off. This approach does not appear to work correctly in Kontakt where notes stop but the sustain pedal stays down. This acts strangely with some instruments that have sounds playing constantly while the sustain pedal is down (Una Corda in particular).
Thanks
Fots

Did you found any solution? I have the same problem!
Re: Live not sending Sustain Pedal off signal when stopping play
Has anyone got a solution to this?
Even a way to make Live send the first CC present in a clip on stop to reset etc.. Having to reach down to my MIDI interface to hit "Panic" every time I stop is infuriating.
It's enough to make me go back to Logic!
