trigger finger

Hello all - I went out and went bought myself a trigger finger! I have to say I'm totally confused about the Enigma software that came with it. After reading the forums here, I see some folks have been using their's with Live - and I'm trying to figure out why mine isn't working.
I loaded the Trigger Finger Defaults into the Trigger Finger. I see the sys light for a bit - then back to whatever number.
I can tell that the trigger finger is sending midi into Live - I see the midi In light blinking.
Preset 10 and 11 in Enigma mention Live. I recall preset 10 and 11 by pressing 'memory recall' on the TF, then hit P10/P11 - I get no presets for using the Impulse.
Read a message on the forums about midi channels... I can't figure out how I would change that on the TF.
Any idea where I could learn more about what I'm doing wrong with the TF? The documents they installed on my mac don't help at all - and their packaging didn't even mention the enigma! I had to stumble across that by luck on their website! I'm a midi neophyte so go easy :)
