Able - When I record a bunch of audio files in a song LIVE autonames each one with the songname and some numbers. It would be nice if you could actually change the filename on the harddrive through the LIVE interface.
make sence?

i've whined about this before. i agree. the need to rename a clip in live and then rename it again in my browser is troublesome.

amen... it's so intuitive an idea that i found myself double clicking on the loop name loaded in its slot in order to rename it, going "why won't it rename?"
haha

So until ableton ugrades the feature, is it the case that there is not a way to rename the files?, I have some that I need to rename right now but can't figure it out i'm on 2.02 and windows.

you can rename right from the browser.. just find the file and go to the edit menu and select rename.. (you can even delete from here...)
