Vocal Process

Hi guys,
I've been a music maker mostly but i've started to get on the vocal mixing process for the last months with extensive tutorials..pre-amplifying, de-essing, tuning, eq-ing.. reverb delay with care. Still, it sounds good to me, but tickles my friends (i think the high frequencies might be the case).
Your help would be happily appreciated as i'm a very solitary person. Not a lot of composer or audio engineering friends irl : )
