hi guys

forgive me if I'm missing something here..

I'm having problems with 10.0.2 and I downgraded to 10.0.1

Automatic updates are, without a doubt, set to "Off"

now three times it has updated automatically to 10.0.2 at some point while quit

wreacking havoc on all my synth plugins..

any ideas guys

You do need to report this issue to support. Have you?

Man 10.0.2 is making my kernel task go crazy

That happened to me several times as well. It seems update files are tiny and get downloaded and queued for installation in the time it takes for Ableton to launch. I was able to get around it by turning internet off temporarily. The other thing you can do is copy the 10.0.1 app to your desktop. If 10.0.2 is reinstalled, just delete it and replace it with the 10.0.1 app.

*sigh*

every time ableton misbehaves I feel like it's an old dog or something that's gotten sick

I must be lucky or very specific in what i'm doing because I never really have issues. Occasional audio interface issues but that's just Rolands shitty drivers and my machines shitty USB controllers. I must be one of the few that although I have a plugin that Live does not work with anymore, it's running smoother for me than ever.

I am on Windows tho and many of the issues appear, for the most part, to MacOs related.
