Oscillate volume by key press

Hello.
Is it possible to oscillate the volume of a played tone by pressing harder or softer on Push (1)?
So, when I keep down the key touched, by pressing harder down would increase volume; releasing the pressure, the tone would become softer?

Channel aftertouch. As with any modulation source it needs to be selected as an input source in the instrument in question and directed to something and typically adjusted in strength.

Thank you. But, how do I redirect the aftertouch to the Volume?

By reading the manual of the instrument. It's done internally, not in Live itself. in for example Operator the source is simply named "aftertouch". In others you may have to explicitly set a source to this.

I see, thank you. I believed it was a Live-setting.
I will figure out. All best.

In case your synth doesn't understand aftertouch, try midiConverter3
from this free plug-in pack and convert aftertouch to midi CC:

Is there in Live's Trumpet solo any possibility to do that?

There is Expression Control.amxd but it is pretty lagging. A lot of pop up noise, it doesn't play smoothly.
Any idea how to fix it?

You see those controls: Vol, Pitch, Pan and Filter in the middle? Raise the percentages.

Here's a question: Why don't you try different controls and play around? That's how you do learn, you know.

Yes, I tried. I know what these controls mean.
The question remains: how to oscillate the volume in this case (Ableton Live, Trumpet) by the Aftertouch?

It doesn't as the answer is "Vol". Are you sure you have Channel Aftertouch? I think not.

So, the answer is "no".

No, I must accept that didn't work with the Push, as that is the LFO section. I used painted Channel aftertouch when testing and seemed to get a pronounced effect. I'm sorry about that. Let me test some more, now with the Push.
I usually don't use Simpler for this kind of thing. Just use it for drums.

Can you convert to Sampler?

Well, this both works in Sampler and survives converting back to Simpler, but unfortunately the behaviour doesn't stay once you replace the sample.

It would seem this can't be done then. Do you have Max For Live or any of the existing MIDI VST plug-ins that can convert between different MIDI CCs?

If you do then you can use for example the Expression Control device and map that to the actual volume, or as I've done here mapped it to a Macro, that I the set the range for, and mapped EC in its turn to this macro.

A plug-in focused in MIDI CC could do the same thing.

Yes, I have tested Expression Control, but it is heavily lagging.
