Finding MIDI-based .alc-files (clips) in browser

I have never grasped why we can't see the difference between a sample and a MIDI-based clip (.alc-file) in the browser. This is beyond my comprehension.

Or is there some trick that I haven't been aware of?

Having both types of clips in the same view is very strange to me. It should at least be possible to see what is what directly in the browser?

Worse still, the official page doesn't even mention that .alc files can contain midi, too:
.alc = ableton live clip (contains references to samples on disk (rather than the audio data itself))

Only when previewing, then you can see in the little preview graphic if it is a audio waveform or MIDI notes.

I think they should have different icons, and also different "Type" when you right-click the Header and configure it to show the Type sorting column.
The vast majority of the .alc in Live Packs are audio though.
