OSC TouchOSC M4L in Connect, confusing...

I have TouchOSC on my iPad. I chose the LiveControliPad Layout.

Now, the questions:

1. Does it matter which track I drop the OSC TouchOSC M4L device?
2. It seems that the device is limited to 8 assignments. How in the world does one utilize the entire LiveControliPad Layout if this is the case?
3. When I create a toggle button in a blank layout, then sync that layout to the iPad, the button doesn't actually toggle. It remains momentary, but on the iPad, the local feedback shows a toggle behavior.

Not sure what direction to go to understand this stuff.
