Annoying Feedback at recording into Live

Hello there!
I have a problem with Ableton Live 9 Lite.
I bought a microphone and wanted to record some instruments into Live but when I play the recorded track, there is with the record also an annoying sound, I think it is feedback. When I turn the track to "auto" this sound comes too, just louder. I actually have the track on "off".
I don´t know if you need some information about my laptop (Windows), if you do, just write. I hope there is a solution.
I am using ASIO as driver because with the other one the sound is chopping.
Hoping for answers!

You are proberly using windows with the build in audio interface? Or do you have a separate audio interface to connect your mic to? What version of windows do you use? What kind of mic? Condenser or dynamic? What settings on your interface?

I am using Windows 7 and I do not have an external audio Interface. I plugged the mic directly in my Laptop. And sry, but I dont know what condenser or dynamic means.

You may need to do a little research first then...

If you do not have an audio interface, that will be a bit of an issue with recording anything. The Mic input on a laptop is typically for an "electret microphone" which is a simple powered mic for a headset. It "may" work with a Dynamic microphone but will certainly not work for a condenser mic that needs a phantom power source.

If anything I have said is complete jargon to you, then you will need to do some research and get up to speed on Microphone technology as it is far more involved than plugging something in and pressing record

In short, you probably need a proper audio interface as a start if you wish to connect mics into it. You then need to know what type of mic you have and what type of mic your interface will work with, then if you want decent sounding recordings you need mics designed for the task.

If you're using just the laptop's audio then you do not have an ASIO compatible interface, and you should not be using an ASIO driver.

I can only assume that you are maybe referring to ASIO4ALL - which is not an ASIO driver.

Either buy yourself a true ASIO compatible low latency external audio interface, or use a WASAPI driver.

Don't go too cheap on an audio interface. Spend at least £100.
