Akai Fire as a controller for Live

This video demonstrates the possibilities you can expect when using Fire out-of-the-box with Live. Of course, things can go much, much deeper if scripts and/or M4L devices get involved in the fun. I'm working on some tools to allow for that now and wanted to get a gauge on interest. Specifically, what features would like to see?

I wanna use this for music
but I also want to use an Akai fire as a colour picker for my lighting software
aaaaaand use a fire controlling ableton to help step sequence some of my visual and lighting software

If you figure out how to make this a step sequencer like in FL, you will be a god... the push is cool and all but i prefer my fire layout
want to cut down on DAWs lol
I like FL for drum sequencing
Ableton for audio manipulation
Logic for recording and mixing
