has anyone gotten noteout->another track to work inside Live??

I don't know if I have a bug or not, but noteout doesn't work properly inside live. I double-click it, and do not get the dropdown menu that says which routing to use. In a patcher that isn't in live, for example, the help patcher, noteout works fine. I tested in both live 9 and 10, and same behavior. Am I not doing something right? I thought this would be the easiest thing to do, and I've been 3 days trying to get to the bottom of this. Any help is very appreciated!!!!!!!!!

M4l midi routing is restricted by Live’s architecture.

Thank you very much you are awesome. That definitely explains why it wasn't working at all and it didn't seem like the documentation made any of that obvious. Do you know if there's any workaround to try to achieve this functionality? For example, whenever a bass patch is played I'd like to send a specific kickdrum a trigger regardless of what note is played on bass.

Send and receive objects work for sending info from 1 m4l device to another.

Yeah sending midi via send/receive works quite well in my opinion and from my experience, doesn't add latency.
