Hi

I want as I play the piano (plugged as a midi controller) to emphasize the lowest note.
So I'm searching for a way to filter all the notes except the lower one, but it seems like there is no built in effect that does that.
There is a different way to do that? Maybe with some plug-in effect?
Thanks

Thanks for responding, but that's not what I want to do - I want an effect that takes the polyphonic midi and converts it to monophonic by choosing the lowest playing note.
Say, I'm playing A1+C1 and then A2+C2, I want the effect to pass just A1 and then A2.

A few instruments in Live have this built in with the ‘Priority’ option. Analog and Tension do for example. That may not be too helpful but it’s an easy option.
Otherwise you may have to resort to max for live

I was really hoping that there is a simple way to do that

Thanks anyway!

Hello
The device above should work
-copy the entire text above from "<pre.... " to "...</pre>"
-in the LIve browser, go to Max For Live / Max Midi effect / Max midi Effect
-put this empty new max midi device in a midi track
-open edit mode of this device
-when the device is opened in edit mode go to FIle / New to clipboard in the max window
- click somewhere in the background of the device and press Ctrl + i ( or cmd+i on mac)
-a window opens at the right, click the little "P" in a losange at the top if it
-scroll down until "open in presentation" and check this option
-save the device.
It should work
There is a mode for Last Note / Lowest Note / HIghest Note and you can choose the Legato type.
Just switch off the device to bypass the effect.
Hope it helps (and works =)
Cheers
