I did not add any new samples, all i did was upgrade from 10.05 to 10.1, and installed a few packs. I waited for several hours for it to go back to normal. It still keeps refreshing/searching. Anyone know a solution, or have this issue???

Thanks!

Tried deleting Live 10, and re-installing, the refresh wheel disappeared, but once I closed Live 10 and re-opened it, the same issue emerged.

Same for me, plus nothing appearing in the Current Project folder and no old projects showing in my projects folder either..it’s a massive pain in the dick.

Thanks, but after 2 days of letting the circle spin, it finally finished searching for everything that was apparently needed.

Cheers!!

I also get the places wheel spin when the application launches. This is the Ableton Index(ing) app, which does stop after a while, but maybe starts up from time to time for a refresh. Only a potential problem if your CPU is getting taxed with a live set and you need to conserve it. At least that how it seems.
