Ableton 10.1 upgrade - audio issues

Hi all, new to the forum!

I've been using Ableton 10 since it came out to do live performances and visuals using the Zwobot VJ plugin. I never had any problems with crackles, CPU overload or anything of the sort. I updated to 10.1, and using exactly the same session files, they now have sound dropouts, crackles and all lag. The Zwobot program itself was always a bit dicey, but it would never affect the audio. I've tried deleting the config files and it hasn't helped. It doesn't matter whether I use ASIO4ALL or my interface driver. Interestingly, the CPU meter only goes up to 60% when this seems to start happening. Previously, it would happily go up to 100% with no problems. It's very frustrating - I've tried rebuilding the Zwobot track from scratch, deleting effects, folding and freezing tracks but nothing seems to be working. I have a gig coming up in two weeks, and I'm getting stressed as I'm running out of time to practice.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Specs:

Behringer UMC205HD
Intel Core i7 7500U
32GB RAM
SSHD

Update - just done various tests - tried changing the resolution/enabling HDPI/changing the sample rate and buffer/even completely deleting Zwobot from the file, still makes no difference. Even seems to be happening on old arrangement files where there were previously no problems.

I'm with the beta program. Started having severe lagging in graphics a couple of weeks ago.
To me seems to be related to Arturia V-Coll, because problem goes away when I delete tracks with them instruments.
Also found rendering/exporting master to be really slow when having more than 4-5 V-coll instruments.
So frustrating as all my project are utilising 10+ of these plugins, and now everything is slow like hell.

Did you report this on Centercode during the 10.1 beta testing?
