Hi Friends,

Can't figure this out. When Using a 4 bar count-in to record an audio clip Ableton is skipping the first beat of the bar. In the video I show that while in arrangement view this is not an issue. The expected count-in happens 1,2,3,4,1 etc. However, when I switch over to the clip view you will notice the count-in happens as 1,2,3,4,X,2 where the X means there is silence. Since I am a Lite user trying to see if I want to switch I have no access to support. Not the best look that I encounter what I consider a major obstacle.

Happens here too, seems it is a small bug, happens only with "Enable Only When Recording" is enabled.

I'll report it in Centercode.

Still not resolved in Live 11.0.2.
Thanks for the tip that it's only glitching on "Enable Only When Recording".

It is 2023 and this is still a bug. So I have to manually enable and disable the metronome every time I want to record and playback without metronome?

i have this bug too, WITHOUT "enable only while recording" on.
the metronome is skipping a beat.
Edit: woops, it seems in my specific case, it thankfully wasnt a bug, but a loop-region in the arrangement view was active, which i didn't realize since only working with session view. Whenever the playback reached the arrangement-view-loop-region, the strange metronome behavior began.

Still a bug. Feel like, on my days using Ableton, I spend half the time googling why something isn't working right. I feel like an idiot upgrading to 11 when I should have just moved on.

Looks like this bug is still there in Live 12 Standard (version 12.0.2).

Irritating, but not the end of the world.
