i'm running on an old laptop, hence windows 7
freshly installed and updated day yet live lite 10 will not start due to
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
error.
as i understand it seems related to visual studio.
using windows auto update i currently have
2005 redistributable
2005 x64 redistributable
2013 x64 redistributable
is there perhaps a particular version i should install ?
edit -- ok. i made a noob mistake and was fooled by windows.
after letting windows update further everything is good now.

For what I understood from Win 7, is that you have to have SP1 at least - do you have that?

i'm only using it for Live.
security isnt an issue if you never go online

and once this is set up there will be no need to ever go near the interwebs
but i also realised i am not fully updated.
windows was tricking me and i have numerous more updates to be up to speed... so i'll check in another 24 hours or so

The answer will no doubt be that with Win7 no longer being supported, any issues cannot be tested and addressed therefore it is probably recommended to update to an OS that is supported.
