I have a file that I need to open that had a demo of Oxford Inflator on the master bus. The plugin demo has expired and now I can't open my file. When opening, I am only given two options: "Quit" or "Authorize". I can't authorize because I haven't bought the plugin and when I click "Quit", Live crashes.

Do I have to buy the plugin just to open my file or is there some other way?

Uninstall or Remove the plugin (.dll) from your VST folder. Then you will just get a warning about missing a plugin on your song when you open it. Remove the problem plugin and save. Done deal.

iLok plugins are the biggest POS scams on the market. It baffles me that they still exist. I had the same issue with a few of them including Oxford inflator that I'd purchased simply because the wifi was out and the plugins couldn't connect to the iLok server.
