"Split Slice" Feature? (In manual but doesnt say how to do it)

I made some slices on the simpler; chopping up a sample. I want to split one of those slices in two. I looked it up and it says it is possible to "Split Slice" but it doesn't say how, and I can't find any info on this anywhere. 
29.8.3 Slicing Mode
Split Slice creates a new slice in the middle of the currently selected slice. This is also useful in Manual mode, in conjunction with Nudge, for fine-tuning slices created via Pad Slicing.
