Arrangement window gets stuck
Arrangement window gets stuck
Off to the right and out of view, in the arrangement window is about 2 minutes of material.
But I can't scroll to it. The arrangement window is stuck.
Whether I grab the top ruler, or hold COMMAND+OPT and the hand tool appears, but will not
move the window.

Never heard of such a thing. The material shows up on the overview and you can’t move to it?
Re: Arrangement window gets stuck
I just came back to this thread because it's happening with this project too.
Yes, half of this song is off screen to the right and no matter what method
you'd routinely use to move the window over to look at it, the arrange window
is stuck, and won't move over. Using the ruler at the top, or the hand tool, or
the ruler at the bottom.
The only way to move it over is to hold the mouse button down on an empty area
and make a selection, and wait for the window to slowly edge over to the end of the song.
First time having this problem also (was when I posted this yesterday),
but now it's happening again. WTF.

Re: Arrangement window gets stuck
May have found out why this happens (but I'm not sure yet, don't have time to experiment):
From the Browser, drag an .als into an empty project.
The Arrangement apparently doesn't recognize that the extra material is in the window now, and therefore
does not move the view to see it.

I think you need to invest in making a small video of the problem, doesn't sound like anything most users have experienced.
Re: Arrangement window gets stuck
OS Catalina. Brand new iMac.
17 years of Live usage here.
By “off the screen” I mean parts of your song that are off to the right, not currently in view.
Of course you would simply drag the ruler over to bring those sections into view.
But Live isn’t letting me drag the ruler or scroll
the window.
This occurs when you drag an .als file into
an empty arrangement. If the .als file has material that is longer than the empty arrangement,
the material cannot be brought into view.
I’ll write to support. Thanks

Re: Arrangement window gets stuck
Who, almost 3 years since the last question was asked. That's certainly taking your time to reply, been too long for me to even be botheredd to scroll up and find out what this was even all about.
Oh, and your video is set private so cant view either.

A reminder for all our users, if you don't have anything constructive to add to the conversation maybe it's best to just not reply at all.
