Push pad behavior when inserting drum rack into instrument rack

Hi,
I have an instrument rack with multiple instrument chains, switching between them controlled by chain selector. When I insert a Drum Rack chain into this Instrument Rack however, note mode on Push switches to drum mode on every chain in the rack even though there is only one Drum Rack chain in there.
Is there any way to get around this?
