same, but there is an upgrade kit if you eventually want to use it as standalone, that is sick

The MPE trickery is wild too.

Nice upgrade. I'm not expecting to use it stand alone, but the new layout and I/O makes it very tasty IMO.
I've just ordered the cheaper version, but peraps will get the upgrade kit eventually down the line.

One additional thing I'm excited about is that apparently Push 3 runs an "Linux-based OS", which might indicate Live will come to Linux eventually 8O

standalone is useless to heavy 3rd party users. no vsts allowed!

Very nice upgrades!!! Also actually I find the standalone option an interesting thing not only for sketching but for live performance on stage. Just one tested console hardware piece with no other dependencies. No need to connect a computer that can freeze, disconnect or unexpected pop-up an OS message.

For really producing music I need it connected for full computer recources, mouse and 3rd party VSTs.

Wow I was so wrong. Ableton tricked me/us into thinking nothing will come by selling a couple 2‘s
I just ordered a stand-alone and hope it supports multi-midi. I am psyched

Not sure what you mean, but you can connect an additional midi interface over USB.

im too lazy and uninterested in reading all of the replies... but as a longtime ableton user, but recent push 2 buyer (like 3 months ago), i say hell yes

i love my push 2, and don't regret it or feel like i should have waited for push 3 in any way, nor do i feel like i need to go out and get the push 3 atm (but maybe eventually, we'll see, i'm not opposed to it)

looks like an improvement, nothing that i'm incredibly excited about, but yeah, looks like an improvement, and thats good to see, ableton are awesome... some folks might be excited, and thats a good thing, ie mpe, audio interface, offline, etc...

but for me, personally, what has been most valuable, is the instantaneous tactile interface that push provides...

so yeah, good to see :)

It's been a long time since I posted here, but what a beautiful product. I absolutely love that it's upgradable in such a clean and straightforward way. It wish more companies made things with that much care and respect for their customers and the world.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

You can choose the cheaper computer-required Push 3. Standalone appears to be very useful IMO.
