Good Clubs in Barcelona?

I'm going to Barcelona on the 10th-11th August and I'm looking for a place to have a good knees up with my friends.

A bit gutted to find Villalobos and Weatherall playing the next weekend at the Loft, and I spotted a Howie B gig on the 12th. (Mind you last time I heard Howie B he was lame.)

Anyone got good suggestions for nice bars and clubs. (non-cheesy!)

Check out NITSA (live bands and then excellent djs) & Mond Bar.

Also if you visit the excellent CD Drome on c/valldoncella they have loads of flyers / tickets for what's going on, as well as a really nice selection of records.

For Bars, anywhere in the Gothic area is nice. Loads of really small places on every corner. Mostly quiet but nice beers and nice people. Good for earlier on (although no-one Spanish will turn up till gone 11pm anyway).

I love Barcelona, i'm Jealous. :( My friend lives there and I try and visit whenever I can afford it.

You may find info at www.no-future.com, go to the message boards there - it's the home page of Cristian Vogel, who is also a Barcelona resident.

I moved away from bcn a year ago, but im sure la terraza is still there, bit of a glamourpuss place but open air and fabulous in its own way. nitsa (in apolo) was always good for a less glam approach. and loft was always fun.

Well having played most of them i can assure you the best club in the Barcelona Region is without doubt Florida135.

Basically it will take you 1 hour to get there from Las Ramblas...but its worth it.

Its an indoor Street....with bars and shops etc...the main road was turned into a huge dancefloor.

For those who know about Groove Parade, a festival in the desert, it is ran by the same organisation...so u know how good its going to be.

DOnt hesistate,.just go

Spain is full of tourists making fucking barbecues in the wrong places, but thank God it is stll a very enjoyable place.

Sometimes, when I travel, I love cheesy clubs, that's part of the fun. If all the clubs in the world would be populated by geaky smart-asses like us, wouldn't that be boring? ;)

I've been to a few good clubs in Barcelona, cheesy and not cheesy, but since I was dead drunk and was blindly following local friends, I can't remember their name...

Hey, that's being helpful!
