Robert Henke - Ocean of Noise - Ableton File

Hello Folks,
I hope everyone is doing well and great! My question to you all is, does anyone have the original Ableton File that Robert Henke posted in his Free Tracks of the Month sessions several years ago? I lost my file in back up transfers and I can't trace it on the net anymore. It had some amazing synthesis done with just a noise generator, and it is really useful for people who are still in the process of learning sound synthesis.
Therefore, if anyone still has the original Ableton File, (not the mp3 track), can you please forward it to me?

If anyone could get back to me on this note it would be of great help. Thanks in advance!

sincerest regards

I searched on Web Archive, it was on the old "monolake.de" site as "http://www.monolake.de/files_software/f ... _Noise.zip", but Web Archive didn't have it saved.

So it occurred me, "maybe Henke just changed the URL". So I just changed the URL from "monolake.de" to "roberthenke.com".

Guess what?

It worked, it downloaded!

Well, after extracting the file, further investigation was needed, as the unzipped files had no file extension.

Found this page (Spanish):
https://www.hispasonic.com/foros/henke- ... pes/205601

Seems "Noise_m-1" has to be renamed to add ".aif" and the others ("Noiz_" to "Noiz_12") have to have ".als" added.

Very interesting projects, had no idea that stuff existed (I started on Live 9), thanks for the info!

Hi, thank you for such an immediate response, and thank you so much for your help! I followed your instructions, but I had to drop the .Aiff files manually in into Live to make the sets work. As you mentioned this is really interesting stuff. Who knew you could put a Resonator after looped Noise!
But I was actually looking for the Track, Ocean of Noise Als file. It had beats, hi hats, pad, etc all made with noise and I believe envelopes as well. I have the Mp3 but I lost the Als file.
By any chance were you able to track that down?

I had to use Manage Set to load the audio file here too.

Just downloaded the mp3 track with the same trick, renaming from the web archive link:

https://web.archive.org/web/20080514065 ... track.html

https://www.roberthenke.com/files_audio ... _Noise.mp3

"Noiz_12" sounds like it, similar length, but mixed differently.

A Track and a Send are set to "Ext Out", implies he used some outboard gear.

Hi pottering,
Thank you for all the help, and apologies for the late response!
I was able to figure out how to get the file working with the beats.
I had to drop the .Aiff file into the clip envelope section itself, and the programmed automation took care of the rest.
I still don’t understand what’s happening in the envelope section fully, but for that I will have to study the file as there
seems to be quite a lot of things going on.
