Max doesn't retain settings

Can someone at Ableton explain to me why this big supposed improvement to Ableton was supposed to be that Max was included? It doesn't retain saved settings, at least in the Convolution Reverb and I bet it doesn't retain any other max settings either.

So I'm told the solution is to download Max separately. Really? So why all the nonsense about Max being incorporated in to the software then? This entire upgrade has been an mess and makes me think the ownership traded hands.

An average wavetable synth, improved delay, changed font - WOW? (STILL without a color wheel to pick our own colors), NOTHING changed in midi editing (nothing changed whatsoever to support the detect midi that was such a big deal a couple of years back). Fact is, X has made it a slower process to erase sections of tracks.

Really a massive disappointment. Don't fan boy me. I've been using this software a long time. 9 was a great upgrade. This one was horrifically superfluous and has cost me a ton of time as well referencing previous reverb settings from 9 which now, don't stick. You know how much hassle it is to reset all Max settings. How did something SO OBVIOUS get past testing, even now on 10.1.7? What other software offers plug-ins that don't update. My vsts all appear to have updated. Fascinating.

I know, the solution is to download and install Max. Right. That makes perfect sense, since it is already in the software, right? OH wait, this supposed separate installation of Max I"m supposed to install ISN"T LOCATED NEXT TO THE ABLETON UPDATE ON MY ACCOUNT PAGE! WOW, just WOW!

BTW, reverb settings I reset two hours ago on a project are now gone. Nice job. Guess I should go back to 10.1.6 and see if those MAX settings are retained. FUN STUFF BEING A FREE TESTER!

I've read several reports about this particular problem in Convolution Reverb.
Do a search on the forum, I believe some solutions exist.

About the rest, well it's not relevant to your topic's title.
