Hey everybody,
I have noticed during using Live that when you record audio it creates these transient points along the clip where the sound starts and stops. When I'm adjusting the start and end points of my clips, I find myself constantly dragging the start of the loop to the first transient by hand. I'm wondering if there is a way to press a button "set beginning to transient" or something like that so that live will set the clip to start at the first transient automatically for me. This would speed up my music production process greatly.
Thanks if you can help me,
~Willy

Right-click, « set 1.1.1 here ».

Re: Set start of clip to first transient?
Is there a way to map a button on my controller to do it so I don't have to drag my mouse to the transient, right-click, then set start here? I am looking to do this in a live performance. Thank you for your response by the way.

To everyone reading this,
I just had an idea- Clyphx Keys allows you to map a midi note to keys and mouse clicks. What Im gonna try doing is to select a clip, have my mouse hover over the clip bar at the bottom of the screen and have it click, setting the blue cursor near the beginning of the clip, then telling my pc to press alt + right, which will have the cursor jump to the first transient.
I will let u guys know if it works out...

No better idea.
Maybe if you describe the context, we could come up with suggestions.

Re: Set start of clip to first transient?
Would be nice if Live was able to detect that first downbeat/transient a bit better.. I don't think there's ever been a situation where I've dragged in some audio (not a loop) and had it guess the right warp markers or proper 1.1.1 detection.
I ALWAYS have to adjust that start point.. Surely there's got to be a more refined or accurate way of the software doing this by now??
