Hi there

I have recorded some MIDI data (notes + controller data) from a Toraiz SQUID midi sequencer into Ableton Live.
However, the recorded automation curve is somehow bypassed (see light grey color in screenshot below). As soon as I deactive the orange button in the upper bar, the automation curve is active (red color) for a few miliseconds but becomes inactive as the button turns into orange again.
I am not sure if I recorded some MIDI data which make this orange button to be active all the time which means the automation is inactive (light grey color).

Any idea what might be wrong here?

Live treats external MIDI as user input, if the hardware is still sending the same MIDI CC you assigned to a knob for automation, that takes preference over the recorded automation.

You need to stop the hardware from sending the same MIDI CC.
