Hi, I've got a real DX7 (mk1) and want to use Dexed as a librarian for it. I've got sounds on my PC that I want to transfer to it, from within Dexed, running as the VST within Live.
If I use Dexed as a standalone program, I can transfer the sysex for each patch / bank to the DX7 in seconds, with a right-click.
However, when I use Dexed as a VST (64 bit) within Live (10 Suite), I can't send sysex to the DX7. It says there is a MIDI problem.
I think this is because Live is using the MIDI port, and won't let Dexed send sysex while it's running. How do I get around this, to let me send sysex to the DX7 using the Dexed VST?
Thanks Phil

Don't quote me on this, but AFAIK live doesn't handle sysex. Try it in another DAW that does?
ctrl + left/right = select transient
ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients
ctrl + space = play selection

According to this article to use sysex requires Max for Live.
