Corrupt media1.cab error while installing Live Lite

I have just installed Live 10 Lite on my desktop computer without a problem. However, when I copied the same setup.msi file across my home network to my laptop, first I got a message from Windows Defender saying that it didn't want to run the installer because it didn't recognise the source, which I didn't get when I ran the installer on my desktop computer. Then when I overrode the warning and ran the installer anyway, I got a message saying:
How do I get the installation to work on my laptop?
I tried downloading a fresh copy of the installer direct from the Ableton site to my laptop, but the downloads kept failing with the message "network error", so I downloaded a fresh copy to my desktop computer, unzipped it there (because my laptop was refusing to unzip the file across the network or locally) and copied the installer across to the laptop, but the installation failed again with the same error about a corrupt media1.cab.The cabinet file 'media1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
