An automtic "Strip Silence" function is what miss the most in ableton, like you have it in each other DAW.

This would be awesome if you import bounces from other Programs to get a clue of the arrangement and to help you fine editing the tracks later on (fades...)
ToDo, beloved developers
:
- In the edit menu a "strip silence" entry that works on selected clips
- when u press it a window with the settings pops up like in pro tools with threshold, clip start padding in mseconds and clip end padding
- and a strip button that deletes the silend parts of the selected clips
should be an easy task for ableton developers.
