Advanced Midi Device Selection in Tracks

I'd love to be able to have more control over where midi is coming from within each track.
So in "Midi From" drop down menu, be able to have more options than simply selecting one or all. An all except one option, or be able to select Two or more would be very useful, even if there was no change to the Channels drop-down menu, however of course being able to specify different channels for each device selected on a track would be an advantage.
So much gear now has USB over Midi so this will help.
Also if you're using Push to be able access banks of CC parameters of a Hardware device that you're controlling/tracking - you want to have both the hardware and Push as midi input sources.
Also - why does the auto-arm recording only work for Midi tracks that are set to All Channels? This useful regardless of the Midi Device and channel selected.
Cheers.
