Melodyne 5 plug-in is not backwards compatible

I'm really curious about Melodyne 5, but the plug-in 5 is not backwards compatible. The Melodyne 4 VST2 plug-in is removed with the Melodyne 5 VST3 installation, so any Ableton Live set that uses the VST2 melodyne plug-in will load with this plug-in disabled. This means you loose all your work regarding the edits you did with melodyne.
I wonder what I should do - check all of my sets if they use melodyne 4, and bounce all tracks that use the melodyne 4 VST2 to disk?
This is a lot of stupid boring work.
Maybe anyone knows a workaround for this VST2/VST3 update problem?
