Now that all Macbook Pro models come with a touch-bar and since a huge part of the user base is using Macs, are we going to get touch-bar functions? I still don't understand why the Ableton developers haven't cared at all to at least introduce some shortcuts like the record button to the touch-bar.

I use Logic as secondary DAW and I find myself using the touch-bar midi keyboard all the time to play quick melodies while surfing presets on the go. Also the record, loop, play/stop, and pattern zoom buttons are extremely helpful!! There is also this "knob" section to control the effects of certain synths that would be so handy when recording automations if you don't have access to a midi keyboard.

Please developers!! I'm sure this isn't that big of a deal to develop and It would help us so much.

P.S: I know there are third party developers that have already integrated Ableton touch-bar capabilities but some of them are buggy and I don't want to be running a third party plugin all the time for it.

I don't know if it's changed at all, but when the touchbar macs first come out we were told that Ableton did not want to add functionality that only worked in one OS. Like I said, that may change, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Would personally love to see touchbar integration -- scrubbing, etc.

I can understand stuff like scrubbing might take some dev time, but adding things like menu shortcuts should be pretty obvious...

I think transport controls would be cool.

Even if it is add-on, I am willing to pay for it.

Edit: I know there are 3rd party apps but app from Ableton like Logic has would be better.
