Ableton won't export audio

Any time I try to export a track, I get an error message saying "there was an error closing the file..." followed by the location of my sample/recorded map of the project I was working on, with a file named "Master 0001". I can not find this file anywhere and I don't know what it does. after I close that error message, it starts rendering again, but then once it's finished another error message pops up saying "there was an error closing the file..." followed by the file I'm actually trying to get. but when I close that and I check my map, the mp3 or wav isn't there, just files saying "AbletonTmp". can anyone help with this? I only saw one person on here who had the same problem very recently, so maybe it's a newer problem?

I have the same problem, I've already messaged Ableton (like two weeks ago or so) and still waiting for their answer :? Anyways, I've switched off to render also to mp3 and I could export to wav. However I've just realized that I can only export mono, which is silly!

It's a problem that happens with some AU plugins in the master bus.
Test it by rendering small portions while disabling plugins one by one.
Replacing the offending plugin by a VST version worked for me.
