Push I Latency issues

Hi there,

I am a beginner in working with audio-programs in general so I`ll say sorry if my questions seem a bit random beforehand but I can`t fix the latency issue with my push, I can`t really bring it down by adjusting the buffer size. Is is possible that I my sound card / my computer is simply to weak, if no, what can I do and if yes, how can I solve the problem externally?
I use a surface book I7 16Gig Ram Windows 10, however, I forgot to install Ableton Lite 10 on an external disk. The driver on my laptop is Realtek.

If I go below 3700 samples buffer the sound starts cracking meaning i have to live with about 83 ms latency which I cant really handle, the maximum samplimngh rate I can chose is 44100, I connected the Ableton push I in the usual way via usb since that`s how it is explained by Ableton in Youtube. Do you struggle with similar problems and do you suggest using an unterface? If yes, am I right in thinking that I need an external power adapter for the push I? Thanks already,

best,

Andy [

It is better to run a dedicated soundcard. Could be a € 110.00 Focusrite Scarlett Solo to do the job. Realtek soundchips aren't really suited to produce music in terms of latency and sound quality.........

Try ASIO4ALL. But yes, an external interface would be better.
